We’ve made the finishing touches to a new interior design project at Truro High School this week after completely transforming the reception and waiting areas at the school.
The project has seen our expert design team cleverly bring together the old and new buildings more seamlessly, at the same time as carrying the school’s branding throughout.
The design now combines a look and feel which blends public school tradition and heritage. A second phase, which will include the exterior colour scheme, will also follow.
Harriet Andrew, operations manager, Truro High School, said: “Whilst it’s quite unusual for a school to enlist the help of a professional interior design team, naturally we want to ensure the school appears inviting and professional to everyone who visits us.
“We’re thrilled with the new look and hope parents and students alike will enjoy the new surroundings for the new term.”
Elaine Skinner, managing director, Hops and Camellias, said: “It was a pleasure to be asked by Truro High School to take on this brief and create a hospitable and inviting space in the welcoming areas. Given that the school is such an inspirational place it’s been key that the interior design for this project really matches the aspirational vision and represents the mission statement of the school.
“Because of the location of the old and new buildings it’s been imperative that the design blends tradition with contemporary. In line with the budget, we have been able to achieve this through a distinguishing colour scheme, which also matches the school’s brand.”
Hops and Camellias is one of the only British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) qualified practices in Cornwall and all our staff are degree-level design qualified. Our portfolio of commercial projects is growing; we were recently asked to redesign The Old Ale House’s dining room in Truro, The Hop Store.
