A 1960’s bungalow in a dreamy situation on the Gannel in Pentire, Newquay
The Client Brief:
This was Elaine’s own house, so the brief was easy! ‘This was the ugliest house I had ever owned’ said Elaine, but after rethinking it the outside became one of its strongest points. She wanted to make it look better from the outside, enhance all the space and landscape the gardens. Elaine’s family are very active and she wanted a space for everything, so her boys could walk to surf and she could entertain easily, living outside as much as possible.
It was carried out in stages, some done before the clients moved in and some during holidays whilst they were away.
In the end the property looks is if it had always been this way. Nothing looked added, only sympathetic and on point. The house on all levels became a luxurious holiday home in one of the best locations in Cornwall. It was recently easily sold through Ben Davies at Savills Cornwall.
