A renovated old cottage in side streets off the centre of St Ives. It has three bedrooms with some sea views, three bathrooms and is centrally located, yet tucked away in a beautifully quaint street near St Ives Harbour and beaches.
The Client Brief:
The client and his brother have a portfolio of property investments which are let as holiday homes in St Ives. This was the new addition to that portfolio. With this home they wanted to achieve a unique let which is rented more regularly at higher price. They had used the same builder for most of the properties and had always designed the properties themselves. With this property they felt the need for more advice to make it work at this level. The property was tight on space and they wanted to maximise this and approached Elaine Skinner at Hops and Camellias to use her skills to create a quirky Cornish holiday cottage.
Elaine worked closely with the client, their letting agency, Cathedral Builders and the landscapers. Site meetings were carried out regularly and what was a last-minute job, ended up as an incredible result and a portfolio piece for all
Tyreen is now a fully renovated “downalong” cottage in St Ives. The house has been beautifully furnished to comfortably accommodate a family of six. Aspects Holidays now successfully let the cottage in their Unique & Boutique properties, recognising the cottage as an individual property that offer an extra special something.
