The Client Brief:
In this case, the client was the designer, Elaine Skinner. Elaine created these apart-rooms for busy business commuters that worked in Truro during the week and returned to their main homes at weekends. She saw there was a gap for this type of accommodation in the capital of Cornwall. Having stayed in similar accommodation on her frequent trips to London, Elaine realised this would be an instant success. She wanted the rooms to have an atmosphere of luxury and cosiness.
